This traditional masala chai is packed full of antioxidants and health benefits, never using refined sugars, GMO's or preservatives. Containing countless medicinal ingredients native to certain parts of India, the spices used have been mentioned in the Vedic texts and the ancient Ayurveda inscriptions of India. The woman behind the chai, an "autobiogra-tea."

Ok, that's super cheesy... but really kinda awesome! "It started with a small coffee shop downtown spokane, WA in 2015. I was asked to make the chai because we didn't have any yet. The manager took me aside and asked if I could come up with a recipe, excited to tackle this project, I still gave him the, "you're crazy, I don't know what the heck I'm doing," look. I took that idea home with me and started making practice batches, researching countless at-home chai recipes, except none of them really stood out to me. They all seemed to be lacking something. As I learned how to get a good base for a simple chai recipe, I kept adding spices, changing the amounts of the ingredients and playing around with different sweeteners. I've always been a huge fan of chai lattes in coffeehouses, but they were always way too sweet or never quite spicy enough! After all of this chai practice at home and writing (and rewriting) countless recipes, I finally nailed it! I finally found the perfect balance of sweet and spicy! using all organic ingredients, all those good for you spices, and tasty sweeteners with no preservatives or additives, I finally found the perfect recipe. With that, I was inspired to turn the new project into a company, get a kitchen and start bringing this chai goodness to local coffee houses in the PNW. Within the first two weeks of my project being a real company, I had two official accounts. I've finally found what I am passionate about and what I want to do on my life path. Mandala has revealed many amazing new open doors for me and has brought so many awesome people into my life. I am grateful for this opportunity to fulfill a sustainable entrepreneurship. Since then we've grown to serve a handful (more to come) of amazing shops locally. We plan to keep our chai small batch as we continue to expand, we will always hand grind our spices and have real people brewing our chai. (Never robots, scouts honor... or something like that) We thank you all for your support and helping to make this expansion possible!"
